Linxx Security is awarded NAVAIR contract in support of Maritime Interdiction Operations
Linxx Security wins defense contract in support of U.S. Navy Visit, Board, Search and Seizure operations. Even with the advent of robotic USVs that have been used successfully near Iraq, humans who can board a ship and search it are still necessary.
Mike McGuire - Chief Operating Officer
Mr. McGuire is a combat veteran with 28 plus years in SEAL Leadership positions. He has extensive experience in managing education and training programs, and has an intimate understanding of hierarchy of military doctrine.
At the time of his retirement, CDR McGuire was Director of Joint Operations Department for Joint Special Operations University (JSOU), where he managed the planning and execution of 52 academic courses and 36 tailored seminars in residence and off-station. Previously, Mr. McGuire was the Deputy Director of Plans, Policy and Doctrine for Special Operations Command, Pacific. While there, he served as the STO Chief and Focal Point Control Systems Officer responsible for Integrating Special Operations Forces into CINCPAC operational plans. Prior to his assignment as Deputy Director, Mr. McGuire served as the Executive Officer of the Naval Special Warfare Special Boat Unit, where he managed 14 Departments, 16 deploying boat detachments, 45 combatant craft, and over 300 personnel.
After his retirement, Mr. McGuire served as the Program Manager of Visit Board Search and Seizure (VBSS) Training for Center for Anti-terrorism and Navy Security Forces. While there he oversaw curriculum, planning, reporting, scheduling, and policy-level support for Non-compliant VBSS, Boarding Officer and Mechanical Breacher Courses.
Mr. McGuire holds a M.A. in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a B.A. in Behavioral Science from National University. He successfully completed the Intermediate Systems Acquisition Course ACQ 201B, as well as the Armed Forces Staff College.
